Bass Infection goes pandemic! Volume 2 of Mainframe Recordings’ freshly launched album series brings you another load of contagious beats from all around the globe – enjoy the outbreak.
To the Roof! On the opening track High Maintenance is back with a straight-up prime time smasher unleashing serious fury.
Dorian and fellow Austrian Twenty Freeze take it back in time and down to earth with their dope rolling “Dirty Habits”, draped in hazy rave stabs reverberating from the early days.
On “Fresh”, DubApe is coming in with a seriously reduced stepper, oscillating between epic breakdowns and minimalist tech-funk aiming straight at the Neuro crowd.
Freshmen from Prague, Hirogen, make their debut on Mainframe with “Bandit”, aesthetically unique, vibey, deep, and somewhat roguish – to be watched!
Last but definitely not least, on “Bronx Warriors”, NC-17 reunites with long time fellow Korosiv for a bone-dry, freakingly dark call to arms – these badboys from Toronto always deliver.
Bass got you in its clutches? Here’s cure for the infected! Mainframe Recordings is proud to announce the launch of its Bass Infection album series. Get ready for a whole load of contagious beats, bred in sound-labs all across Europe and spread out to four volumes. Vol. 1 kicks off with Akrom & Myselors mad-edits-spiked primetime roller “Cosmic Creation”, which is already getting blasted into Neuro-loving crowds by the likes of Zombie Cats or The Clamps. With “Regolith”, Ukrainian hot topic Tapolsky & VovKING, recently making their debut on PROGRAM, bring some cutting-edge Electro sounds with a twisted Pop feel to the table. Subtension gives us another sweet moment with his Trap infused “Touch”, before things turn dark and heavy with DisasZt’s full-on banger “Nasty Habit” and ISEE’s heavyweight stomper “Gravity”. Expect these to be rampant this summer!
Vienna’s smooth criminal Dorian strikes again, coming in with a roundhouse kick crossing all styles of Drum & Bass. Releases on New Playaz, Gun Audio, Switch! and Hangar have not only gained him support from the likes of DJ Hype, The Prototypes, S.P.Y, Rene LaVice etc., but also a reputation of being one of the most versatile producers out there, yet always having that distinctive organic and somewhat opaque flavour in his music, which also goes for the Ritual EP.
Life is said to run a little slower in Vienna, and this laid back attitude is shimmering through all of Dorian’s productions, be it the raw & rugged tech funk of the EP’s epic lead track ‘Ritual’, the chimes-laden, sultry warmth of ‘Worlds’, the roguish oldskool vibe of ‘Breeze’, or the lush cosiness of ‘Hypnos’ descending to grimey depths.
Get seduced. Join the Ritual, and become enchanted by Dorian’s crooked Voodoo bliss!

>> Slangsta-Rap VS Drum&Bass – Round One – Fight!
It’s going to rumble in the jungle…
Activate! On its A-Side, Mainframe Recordings’ first release in 2017 sees prolific label head DisasZt joining forces with sound wizard DubApe to fire off a nice salvo of rave stabs, the very type that’s been driving fellow Hardcore Junglists mental since back in the warehouse days. Enjoy the flashback – it won’t last long. The immediate punch of 2017’s cutting edge drums will take you right back to the present.
Elaborate Build-up science joining in a highly energetic dystopian craze and heavy impact bass growls… This shape-shifting beast was born to wreak havoc on floors worldwide.
Razor, on the the flip side, is coming deep down from the foggy dungeons of dark steppin’ underground. All grim and gritty, with snappy drums funkin’ things up, a gnarly buzzing Reese bass cuts its way through dense sound textures like a rusty razor blade – pure pressure! This one’s going to keep the shadow boxing army under siege.

NC-17, the Canadian daredevil, is giving us that clean but heavy, mind-crushing sound that he is the best at leaving us with an intense experience.
The distressing high notes, pulsating mid-range bass and the drums that accompany them certainly take us to the abandoned rainforest that keeps all kinds of surprises, then to the evacuated city hospital where there is very small chance of escape.
NC-17 teams up with KG & Emery to bring you Predator. They come from the world where there are no rules, they are the ultimate enemy killing for pleasure hunting for sport. This track raises everyone’s pulse gives the reality of the ultimate manhunt.
Side B in collaboration with Fade & Emery takes trudging sounds that animate zombie steps and mixes them with some madly stressful high notes and drums creating the illusion of the apocalypse. It is the Night of the Zombies!
Prepare for the crazy, prepare for the interrupted evil… These two new bangers will definitely hit the clubs hard!

Darpa is a newcomer to our team, two very talented guys from Hungary, bringing a very unique, alternative, energetic sound into the scene.
…It’s here, it’s contagious, it’ll destroy you…Epidemic!
The symptoms include heavy breathing, goose bumps, fidgeting legs and the immediate widening of pupils.
The rules are simple…. Everyone dies!
The track nicely plays with an aligned set of drums, unique harsh stabs and eerie high-octane synths, but the real effect cannot be described in terms of drums and kicks.
Night King is an intriguing drum-funk-neuro mixture with a low base and heavy drums, creating trouble …he is coming…The Night King. The intro is scary, the track is dark and the beat is jungly enough to bring about the perfect vibe that transports you to the Haunted Forest and the Land of Always Winter…The Night King has found you…the only question is: Can you wake up from the dream?
These two tracks, although not the same pace, gender, style, go along really well with each other, one makes the other even stronger.
3rd of September 2016, Vienna, Austria, Arena Club…this is when and where the Mainframe Open Air Festival 2016 took place and it was a blast!
We thought that the best way to keep this memory is to put together an Album from the core Artists performing at the festival, their latest, newest vibes in one bundle of goodness.
Since the compilation features Artists of many subgenres, it is a very versatile and exciting mixture of liquid, jungle, neuro, soulful and more.
It is a very elegant selection that will make you remember the Summer 2016.
This was Mainframe Open Air Festival 2016.
